Granny's Never Fail Pie Crust

Granny made a LOT of this.
5 c. flour
1 lb lard or 1/2 lard, 1/2 butter
2 tsp salt

MIX:
1 egg, beaten
3/4 c cold water
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp vinegar


Combine flour, salt. Cut in lard (or grate) to size of small peas.
Add remaining ingredients & combine. Allow to rest 1 hr or longer in fridge.

Makes 2-3 complete pies.
Freezes well.

Unfilled shell:
450 degrees for 10-12 min.
